4. Devlog, Week 11 : Presentation and Graphics
Hi! This week I worked on improving what we have so far and building levels.
Background:
The major project this week was the background. I wanted it to be an animated night sky. For this, I generated a perlin noise sprite and masked it over a tiled stars sprite. The perlin noise is generated roughly every frame.
Level Building:
Additionally, I spent time on building levels. I tried to create a feeling of floating and flying with the clouds and their abilities. So, I wanted the player to have a lot of freedom to explore the level, while also being guided automatically.
Satellite and Blackhole graphics:
The graphics I added this week were the Satellite and the Blackhole.
Restart button:
Lastly, I added a restart button so the player can restart the current level at any time.
